Message from our dear friend Zainab

You were a kind and great gentleman…. Your family is Blessed and even more so when you think how God fearing you were.. I am constantly grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time and exchange information, humorous emails – the joy of friendship and sharing.Among the most reoccurring are mental picture of our day trip to Naivasha and the Karaoke afternoon where you watched us sing heartily and sometimes (most times) tunelessly!    Praying for the departed Soul and God to give strength to the family.….. Zainab Yahya

Mohamed Anwar Sheikh - Obituary

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajeeon – Indeed, to Him we all belong and to Him we all return.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Mohamed Anwar Sheikh on the morning of 26th June 2011.

He will be remembered as a devout muslim, devoted husband, father & grandfather. He was deeply committed to guiding & helping the community to build lasting relationships with the young and the old regardless of colour, creed or gender. He was a dedicated educationist & a role-model for the community. All the family & friends who had the opportunity to know him & work with him are devastated by this loss.

He touched many lives with his optimism, cheerfulness, honesty & humility.

We pray that Allah (swt) grant him eternal peace & grant him the highest stations in Jannah. Ameen.

Some quotes from Abu's diary

Keep an eye on times of salah like the credit on your phone
Answer the adhan like you respond to your ring tone
Read the Koran like you are eager to read your texts
Don't get busy in dunia like the network & keep your Iman charged like your phone!

Abu, the kindest, most caring, loving, devoted, wonderful father I had the privilege & honour of having.
